DISTANCE REIKI
Distance Reiki is just as effective and offers the same benefits as hands-on sessions. It is especially useful if the animal lives far away, is fearful, feral or is isolated (for example, after surgery).
TO SCHEDULE DISTANCE SESSIONS:
1. Contact me by email at
animalreikitherapy@cox.net or by phone (316.686.5188) with the animal's name, species, breed, age and a description of the situation or problem. I will get back to you for a consultation and to schedule your sessions.
2. Email a picture of the animal to me.
3. Arrange payment. (Currently by check).
We will arrange a scheduled time in case you would like to be present with your animal during the session, which usually lasts 25 to 45 minutes.
COST
$25 PER SESSION
or
5 SESSIONS FOR $100
Distance Reiki helped Mia overcome her fear of a new place as well as anger about her past.
I am so happy to report that Mia is allowing me to touch her without bolting. Also, her eyes seem calm instead of frightened and I feel the (distance) sessions have helped her let go of the past. Christa
A combination of distance and hands-on Reiki helped Winston deal with trust issues, as well as his wanting to control all situations.
Winston seems like a different dog. His face is rounder, fuller and happier. Melodie

FAQs
Can Reiki take the place of conventional medicine and veterinary care?
No. Reiki is a complementary therapy to be used in conjunction with a doctor's or veterinarian's care. It can enhance the effects of medicine, support the immune system and help the body to heal itself, but should never be used as a replacement for conventional medicine. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose or prescribe.
Can Reiki cure me?
No practitioner should ever promise a cure. Avoid those who do. Reiki practitioners are not healers, but simply the conduits for universal life energy to flow though to where it is needed.
Is Reiki like massage?
No. Reiki and massage are two different therapies. Massage is the stroking and manipulation of muscles and tissue. Reiki practitioners do use some level of touch, but it is very light and sometimes no touch is used at all. The practitioner's hands are kept quiet and still, to better sense the movement of energy.
Is Reiki a religion?
No. Although Reiki is spiritual in nature because it calls upon a higher power for universal energy, it is not a religion. The few precepts it does have (below) are compatible with all major religions.
Reiki Principles:
Just for today, I will not anger.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today, I will give thanks.
Just for today, I will live honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to all living creatures.
