Reiki (pronounced "Ray-key") is a Japanese word that means "universal life energy."
Many cultures embrace the belief that life energy flows through the body, deeply affecting our entire being. Current research strongly suggests that energy does extend throughout and beyond the physical body, and that disruptions or imbalances in its flow can cause physical, mental and emotional illness.
Reiki addresses these imbalances through hands-on energy healing that allows the practitioner to channel universal life force energy to the animal (or person) being treated.
Animals love Reiki! They respond readily to its energy, which connects directly to the animal's inner healing power. As with humans, an animal's body has an innate power to heal itself, and Reiki can help promote this process.
